Terms of use
The rules for booking and listing on Tourbolts. Last updated October 2026.
1. Who we are
Tourbolts Hospitality and Tourism ("Tourbolts", "we") runs tourbolts.com, a website where guests book stays and partners list hotels, serviced apartments, shortlets and guest houses in Nigeria. We are not the owner of the properties listed.
2. Booking as a guest
When you pay for a booking, your booking is confirmed and the room is held for your dates. Your contract for the stay is with the property. You must give true details and bring a valid ID if the property asks for one.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in naira and per night. The total, including any fees, is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Paystack. We collect payment on behalf of the property and pay the property after check-in.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Each room shows its cancellation rule before you pay. If you cancel within that rule, we refund the amount the rule allows to your original payment method. If a property cannot honour a confirmed booking, we will offer a similar stay or a full refund.
5. Listing as a partner
Partners must have the right to rent the property, keep prices and availability up to date, and honour every confirmed booking. Photos and descriptions must show the real property. We may review, pause or remove a listing that breaks these rules or gets repeated guest complaints.
6. Fees and payouts for partners
Partners pay either a commission on each booking or a monthly owner plan fee, as chosen at sign-up. We pay partners weekly for stays that have checked in, minus any commission, to the bank account they provide.
7. Calendar sync
Partners who link outside calendars are responsible for keeping those links working. If a link fails, we may pause sales for the affected unit until it syncs again.
8. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep listings accurate, but the property is responsible for the stay itself. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking.
9. Who can use Tourbolts
You must be 18 or older to book or list. If you book for a group, you accept these terms for everyone in it. Keep your password safe. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
10. Guest conduct
Follow the house rules shown on the room page. Do not exceed the number of guests you booked. You must pay for any damage you or your group cause. A property may refuse entry or end a stay for serious breaches, such as illegal activity or violence.
11. Failed payments and chargebacks
A booking is only confirmed when payment succeeds. If your bank reverses a payment you made, we may cancel the booking or ask you to pay again. Opening a chargeback for a stay you used may lead us to close your account.
12. Taxes
Prices include any tax we are required to charge, unless the room page says otherwise. Partners are responsible for their own taxes on the income they earn.
13. Partner checks
Before payouts start, partners must prove who they are and that they can rent the property. We may ask for ID, proof of ownership or a letter of authority, and bank details in the partner's or business's name. We may hold payouts while we check a complaint or suspected fraud.
14. Reviews and content
Reviews must be honest and based on a real stay. We may remove content that is false, abusive or breaks the law. Partners keep ownership of their photos but allow us to show them on Tourbolts and in our marketing of their listing.
15. Things you must not do
Do not copy or scrape the site, try to get around our payments, post fake listings or reviews, or use Tourbolts for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.
16. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot control, such as floods, strikes, government orders or network outages. If a stay cannot go ahead for these reasons, we will help you rebook or refund what the cancellation rule allows.
17. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Nigerian consumer law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
18. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will try to fix it within 14 days. If we cannot agree, either side may take the dispute to the courts of Nigeria.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect bookings already confirmed.
